We’re talking more about bow holds and balance. Almost three years in, and I’m still learning how to bow the A string. Dan showed me how to balance the bow and use my fingers dynamically, particularly the first two. This should help alleviate my hand stress. He noticed that my 3 and 4 were locked in, and in a funny way. However, I was warned that this new hold will require feedback and reinforcement, and sometimes you lose that groove for no particular reason.

We finished Kummer 67, and acknowledged that the bow movement is getting better. I’m beginning to really feel those rhythms in my right arm more. The goal now is to polish up La Cinquaintaine. I’m really having some issues with control and shape of the first three notes.

I logged in to blog, and noticed all the buttons were in different places, and the wordpress bar was reconfigured again. Not cool.
