Today was mostly review. I went back over my existing Suzuki pieces to see if I had gotten any better at some of the challenging spots. The Boccherini Minuet was more fun, although there were still some issues with some string crossings.

I also picked up a book “Cello Classics for Intermediate and Advanced Players”. It has all my favorites – the opening movement to the Brahms Opus 38, Après un Rêve as well as a few others.   I can see why “Reve” is still too advanced for me, but I can at least tackle the opening theme; ditto for Brahms.  I just love these pieces so much that I wanted to at least experience the parts of them that I could.

Tomorrow, though, back to Kummer #74.
