So, tell me cellists – what is your favorite form of exercise when you step away from the cello? Do you do Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, or some other organized system of movement?
As for me, I enjoy Aikido, although I am taking a break from it so I have time to write my book. I enjoy playing on my Wii Fit when it’s too icy to take a run, and doing a mini-abbreviated yoga workout. I used to do Yoga more seriously but I gave Aikido that time slot. I’m a bit nervous about Aikido and considering quitting because I once made a mistake that nearly cost me freedom of motion of my left thumb.
I’d like to do more walking so that I can ensure I burn some calories. I’ll often take a Sousa march with me.
