My lesson was one of the worst ever, in that it was supported by very little practice. I won’t say how little except that I will resolve to do better. Since I hadn’t practiced much, it was just as well that we started a new piece for which practice was irrelevant. We worked on a new Kummer, #59 and my goal is to keep my arm moving and flexible on the A string. I have the tendency to just drop it sometimes.
Dan’s other admonition is to keep my bow arm moving – no frame of reference on my arm should remain static for long since holding a static position causes tension.
