The cello has been in back burner mode, along with Aikido as I try to get a draft of another book ready for my editor. However, I am continuing to play the cello every day to at least get some Beethoven in.

Our last lesson focused on not using the arm so much to move the bow. I need to keep the arm elevated and think “fingers!” as well as moving the body freely. Secondly, when I do move my arm, think not only of my arm but how the entire body needs to move as a unit. These should keep my playing light and result in fewer crashes.
