  • New Pieces
    • Kummer #50, make sure to use the metronome.

  • Kummer #42
    • In particular, I need to keep elbow floating and in control.
    • If I’m hurting on my lower right side, it means my shoulder is working too hard.
    • Showed me a coordination exercise using both arms, raising and lowering the elbows, Marionette style.
    • Learn the hand-shape so that you’ll be predictable for hitting particular spots, particularly the harmonic A(“3-0”)
    • When shifting from higher positions back to first, remember to get all the way back, and DO NOT COLLAPSE left elbow.
  • Minuet
    • Short bouncy strokes on third measure – up , up , down bow is almost a rebound
    • Rhythm is getting better.  I still could ask for anything more, though.
  • General
    • The way past a difficulty is rarely straight through it.  Don’t keep persisting on a difficult piece.
    • We’ll learn to be light in other pieces of music and then come back
