I am going to need to re-learn how to move my legs and shift my weight so that my back is not working so hard to control the cello. My back hurt like crazy. While there may have been many causes, this would be a good excuse to delve into this area now so that the back pain does not get worse when I play.
Losing weight and having better abs would help, too. Therefore, I am not ready to blame my cello playing just yet. But all things being equal, reducing tension in my back couldn’t hurt!
