In general, I’m pretty happy with my time on the cello lately.  Shifts to second position feel more natural because I can anticipate the note now.  I’m working on Handel’s Bourree.   On the bad side, I popped a peg, and I swear that things don’t sound exactly the same as they did.   Still, new strings are coming soon, so it may be a moot point.

After reading Emily’s Post about letting kids quit, I had a long and paradoxical talk with my son about his violin. He loves playing but not practicing. What’s the difference?
