A very interesting lesson. Pushed into some new territory. We talked a bit about foreign language and immersion. It may be the best way to learn a language, but you also wander around the city ordering something off the menu and hoping it’s edible. This lesson threw a good deal that was new to me, but also lots of basic stuff to help with my posture and balance.
The overall theme was to learn to be less tight, managed, and controlled. Instead, be a little more sweeping especially in the scales when I’m not focused on reading notes. Still, I found it interesting how my cello issues match my personality issues elsewhere in life – particularly the part about control.
